January – February – March 2008 Newsletter

The January meeting was held on the 6th and the members present agreed to continue with efforts to recruit thru Parish Bulletins. At present, the Parishes to be contacted will be St. Patrick, St. Rose of Lima, St. John the Baptist, St. Joseph, Dallastown, Holy Infant & Sacred Heart. Also, St. Joseph & St. Vincent in Hanover. If anyone has another Parish to suggest, make it known at the February meeting. Everyone could also pick up some applications to personally invite a good candidate to join.

The Officer Slate for 2008 remains the same. Joseph Brennan has taken over for Jim O’Brien at Catholic Action & Pro-life. Joe is our newest member from York City.

The York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off on March 15th. Perhaps a Mass before at St. Patrick’s Church.

There will be a St. Patrick’s Day Party at the K of C Home in Hanover on March 15th. We will have 70 tickets @ $15 available; first come. They can be purchased at the February & March meetings. Tickets for the Pot O’Gold were included with this newsletter & more can be gotten at the February & March meetings. Membership support is needed.

The Division will renew the Charter for 2008. Everyone has sent in their dues with the exception of 3 members. They will receive a second notice; hopefully they will respond to give us 100%!

Pick up some applications for membership to give to some good candidates.
